Quality Assurance
Food Safety and Product Quality are our top priorities.
ONF strictly adheres to USDA regulations and embraces the principles of HACCP. We also manufacture under strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
All employees receive annual training in Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Food Handling Practice. In addition, key employees receive annual training in HACCP and Quality Standards.
The Quality Assurance Department is a team of six trained individuals.
Together the Quality Assurance team:
- Performs microbiological testing of the food-processing facilities.
- Tests finished products for adherence to product quality standards of fat, protein and sodium.
- Tests random samples of packages for pathogenic and food spoilage bacteria.
- Conducts sensory evaluation of products by a trained panel of individuals.
ONF strives to be among the leaders in producing safe quality deli products that meet our customers' expectations. In 2008, we have undertaken the goal of becoming certified in the internationally recognized Safe Quality Food (SQF) program. The SQF program is based on the principals of HACCP, Codex, ISO, and Quality Managements systems. Undertaking the task of receiving SQF certification demonstrates ONF's continued commitment to produce safe quality food.
