National Food Month: Week 4

As stated last week, I’m back again to provide you with the food holidays of this week that you can “celebrate” with our Old Neighborhood products!

April 23: National Picnic Day

The quickest way to prep for any picnic is by making sandwiches! With our deli products, you can easily make a variety of sandwiches to suit multiple tastes.

ReubenSandwichIf you prefer something other than the standard sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo, you could go for a Reuben Sandwich instead using our Corned Beef Round or Pastrami Round.

If you prefer wraps over bread, you could try something similar to our Savory Silver Roll Up, which uses our Roast Beef.

If you would rather have a salad, feel free to add in some of our shaved meats, as in our Asian Chicken Salad recipe.

Of course, there is always the option of bringing hot dogs or sausages to your picnic as well!

Either way, pack up a tasty lunch, snack, or dinner and go have a picnic!

April 24: National Pigs-in-a-Blanket Day

Pigs in a Blanket

Now, this day is pretty self-explanatory, and it has be one of the simplest recipes you could follow. While there are a handful of variations of this recipe, make sure you grab yourself some Old Neighborhood Hot Dogs and some dough! The overall idea is the wrap the dough around each hot dog, as in our Pigs in a Blanket recipe. Cheese is optional, as is mustard, or anything else you can imagine. As always, you can be creative and use our variety of sausages instead of hot dogs. These are quick to make and are a great snack of any kid or adult!

That concludes our briefing of food holidays related to Old Neighborhood products! I hope you can find time to enjoy these days!
